Chapter 2 - “What Brain Research Tells us About Learner Differences”

1.The back of our brain helps us recognize things. Recalling things is very important in learning. The nervous system in the brain places value on whats important. ie. food and hungry!
3 main brain components.


Chapter 3 - “Why We Need Flexible Instructional Media”

1. "new media" is really what we are doing in this class. Kids can be engaged by DIGITAL MEDIA in different ways, unlike Fixed Media, ie:a book.


Chaper 4 - “What is Universal Design for Learning” -

1. Architecture idea compares to teaching. We teach to accomodate students different needs, just like a building is created to accomodate people's needs.

1.Motivation is key to reaching a goal. You need to have multiple ways to reach a goal.

1.Students should not be shut out of accurate assessments! They can respond to individual differenences.

1.There are many things to think of about creating a Digital Media for education. Like purchasing of technology, role of teachers, and how do we involve parents.
